Diet
A healthy diet is the foundation of our natural beauty.
Varied and wholesome food is important for staying fit and healthy. The food we eat has the task of keeping the body and all of its organs functional and healthy and to provide the energy it needs.
The importance of healthy food for our skin is demonstrated in the fact that our skin is nourished in its entirety by subcutaneous fatty tissue via the vasculature right to the epidermis – that is to say, it is nourished from within. The molecules of the main energy suppliers protein and fat are too big to break through the main barrier. For example, wheat proteins give a soft, smooth feeling to the skin, but never make it past the corneal layer. The skin´s fat also mainly comes from within, namely from the sebaceous glands, that carry it outwards via the hair follicles.
The fat and moisture in creams together with fat from the sebaceous gland and liquid from the sweat gland form the hydro-lipid layer. The fact remains that we can apply as much fat, moisture and other substances to our skin as we like, the factors of lifestyle and a healthy diet are at least equally as important!
Natural beauty is also a question of a positive attitude to life.
Attentive care and a healthy lifestyle are some of the factors that are required for healthy skin that we feel good in and that fulfils its objective. Here are a few simple tips:
- enjoy all "poisons" in moderation
- exercise in fresh air
- get enough rest and sleep
- avoid damaging effects such as over-exposure to sunlight
- have a wholesome diet and a healthy digestion
- instead of white sugar, use natural sweeteners such as honey, maple syrup, organic treacle or brown sugar when sweetening, baking or cooking.
- as well as fat, protein and carbohydrates, so-called fat-soluble substances are also very important: vegetable dyes, vitamins, phytosterols, lecithin and flavourings in cold-pressed vegetable oils
Eating the right foods makes you generally healthy.
A few ground rules are not only good for your skin, but also for your whole body and strengthen your aura and life force. Be good to yourself with ease!
- Drink enough water.
- Eat varied and wholesome foods – protein, fat and carbohydrates as well as the three substance groups vitamins, minerals and bioactive substances.
- Favour seasonal and local produce.
- Allow the organism enough time to digest between meals. You should leave around six hours between meals.
- Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.
- Try to eat dinner at about 6pm; in that way, the organism has enough energy at night to renew cells. If you eat very late at night then most of the organism´s energy is used for digestion.
- Fast or go on a cleansing diet in the form of rice, fruit or potato days once a year.
