The abrasives in bioemsan toothpaste preserve tooth enamel while also providing a good cleaning effect. The basis for this is calcium carbonate, which occurs naturally as chalk or marble. Chalk, in precipitated form, has a limited abrasiveness that preserves enamel – it also has the advantage of having a basic pH value that causes healthy oral flora. The yellow clay, which is rich in minerals is another natural abrasive – also basic. The spearmint gives a naturally fresh taste.
The toothpaste also contains plants that have been long valued for their oral hygiene properties and whose effect is also recognised by modern dentists: An extract from the roots of the ratanhia plant, the bark of the Indian neem tree, coral calcium resin and propolis are famous for their special effect. The leaves of the stevia plant, the “honey leaf” from Brazil, which is cultivated in Austria, give healthy sweetness. Last but not least, pure essential oils are important for fresh taste and effect.
